Tawa Cove, connected to the Queen Charlotte Track, Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand

Tawa Cove Activities

This is one of my favourite activities, chasing the wee scuttlers (crabs) in the shallows while the boss takes guests out in the boat, probably fishing or a Scenic trip, then again he may be picking a couple up from a day on a deserted beach, picnic basket and all.
Now which rock did it go under?????

Seafood Cruise

Charter our luxury Cat and spoil yourself on a "Seafood Cruise", where you can catch fish and we can dive for scallops and crayfish to give you the ultimate in a fresh seafood luncheon, along with some of Marlboroughs famous Sauvignon Blanc or Reisling.

Day walks on the Queen Charlotte Track

Walk the Queen Charlotte Track to Furneaux Lodge (2 hours)for lunch then relax in the beautiful grounds. Have Nigel pick you up at the jetty or carry on walking to Punga Cove (3.5 hours). You can be picked up from the jetty and brought back to Tawa Cove for dinner. Check out our Queen Charlotte Track page for more information.

Deserted Beach

Spend a few hours or a whole day on a deserted beach. Tawa Cove's 24ft Sea Ray can drop you off with a picnic lunch and beach umbrella. These secluded sheltered places offer swimming and privacy and a little bit of that something special. Treat yourself.

Kayaking

Paddle around the Inlet or explore Tawa Bay. A truly great way to be at one with nature. View the seabirds and hidden nooks and crannies of the shoreline

Scenic Cruise

Take a scenic cruise in our luxury Catamaran launch to Motuara Island Bird Sanctuary to see what New Zealand was like before the arrival of man and predatory rodents, then on to Ships Cove, the start of the Queen Charlotte Track, steeped in History some of the most beautiful bush in the Sounds. Lunch on board available

Do Nothing!

Take a book and snooze in a hammock. Or walk up Boxes Track (5 minutes) and sit on the cliff top overlooking Endeavour Inlet
